Strothman + Company was founded in 1983. In late 2023, the firm announced that it had reached an agreement to join LBMC, a nationally renowned business consulting and financial services firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. During the merger discussions, both firms realized that certain clients of Strothman + Company may not need the extensive resources LBMC offers. Because of this, selected clients of the firm were invited to continue being served as clients of Innovative Tax Advisors (“ITA”). Owned by the existing partners of Strothman + Company, ITA focuses primarily on the income tax planning and preparation needs for individuals, and smaller LLCs and S corporations.
